Hyjal Guild PvP System
Guild Base Battles in Vanilla Reforged
Overview
All of Hyjal, with the exception of the safe zone at Wildhome, is a Free For All PvP zone where players may only group with members of their own guild. Guilds can claim and control strategic bases across Mount Hyjal, and each base provides exclusive advantages to the guild that holds it, which means control has to be defended as actively as it is earned.
Capturing Bases
Unclaimed bases are captured instantly by the first guild to seize their attack point. If a base is already owned, another guild must contest it by right-clicking its dedicated attack point. Each base has its own attack point, but only one attack point in Hyjal can be active at any given time. Whenever one becomes active, a worldwide reminder is sent to notify players that the base can be contested.
Cooldowns
After a base is captured, it enters a randomized cooldown lasting between 18 and 36 hours. Once that cooldown expires, a new attack point appears and the base becomes vulnerable to challenge again. Battles cannot take place between 2 AM and 6 AM server time, and after any battle ends there is an additional 60-minute cooldown before a new attack point can appear elsewhere in Hyjal.
Battle Flow
Battles take place in two phases: a preparation phase followed by the battle phase.
- Preparation begins. Once an attack point is captured, the base enters a 5-minute preparation phase.
- Reminders are sent. During this time, regular reminders notify players how much time remains before the battle begins.
- The battle starts. When the 5 minutes expire, the battle phase begins and all NPCs in the combat area despawn.
- Access is restricted. Only players from the attacking and defending guilds may remain in or enter the combat area, and each side is limited to a maximum number of participants. Players who are not eligible will be teleported to Wildhome if they enter or remain in the battlefield while a battle is in progress.
- Players are positioned. Players from both sides who are already inside the combat area when the battle phase begins are teleported to their respawn positions.
Victory
During the battle, each side earns resources based on the number of Capture Points it controls. The system works similarly to Arathi Basin, but at three times the normal resource rate. The first guild to reach the maximum score wins the battle.
Player Rules
Members of the defending guild can use their guild tabard to teleport directly to the base during both the preparation phase and the battle phase. An automatic resurrection system remains active at each team’s spawn point throughout the battle.
